(Chicago) ALARM Magazine will release issue #17 the weekend before it streets nationwide in collaboration with Culture Cache Gallery in San Francisco, CA in celebration of their exhibition Emergency, curated by Andrew Schoultz the cover artist featured in ALARM #17.

ALARM #17 features Chicago hip hop emcee Diverse, Spiritualized, The Shins,Mest, From Ashes Rise, Mates Of State, The Lot Six, Big Collapse, film maker Charlie Ahearn, as well as in depth music coverage and a cover feature on San Francisco based artist Andrew Schoultz. ALARM Magazine was formed in 1995 to provide a medium for independent artists who were not being represented in newsstand publications.
